Trench Coat and Thigh High Boots

A trench coat is a classic wardrobe staple and never goes out of style. It’s an item that you can pull out year after year without ever having to worry about it going out of style. While other wardrobe items may be more flashy or fun, the trench coat remains a closet cornerstone that always feels current. The trench coat is ideal for transitioning between seasons and looks great worn with a range of different outfits. The easiest way to style a trench coat is pairing with a dress. It's the best way to show off your dress while still highlighting your figure. Because trench coat is such a classic piece, sometimes it can be boring. So you may want to choose one with unique design when you do your trench shopping. I picked this trench coat with leather sleeves and paired with the thigh-high boots to make the whole look more interesting. When it comes to styling thigh-high boots though, they can easily veer into "Pretty Woman" territory if they’re styled the wrong way, but you shouldn't let that deter you from wearing one of the season’s hottest shoe trends. A great to winterize a summery dress is styling it with thigh-highs and a coat for a more seasonally appropriate feel. I also wore this wrap dress (below) in my previous post Dress on Top of Dress where I styled it as a coat.
