The Furry Sweater

Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed your Christmas with your family and love ones! I just came back from my two-week Hawaii vacation and ready for the The New Years!

Today we are talking about the Fuzzy/Furry Sweater trend. Let's say you want a sweater that makes a statement, but embellishments feel too showy and graphics aren’t your bag. The solution is simple: try a mohair cardigan or angora pullover on for size. It’s an of-the-moment look that’s equal doses fashion and fluff. That’s when we will be calling on something fuzzy and warm to wear. Whether it’s mohair, angora, alpaca, a blend, or anything else that does the job, it traps warm air without losing us any fashion points. It works for any occasion, and with just about any outfit.

How is everyone doing this holiday season? The holiday season is great for many reasons. We love all the tinsel and traditions: cozying up by the fireplace, spending quality time with family, and holiday parties! If you are hosting a house Christmas dinner and wanted to dress a little bit low-key, a red plaid sweater looks might be a great idea for a holiday house party! Christmas Look - Fur Jacket and Tulle Skirt

Christmas Day is different in every household, but we know that all Christmas Day outfits share the same thing, glamour. Everyone loves a little sparkle during the Yuletide period - whether that's a stunning set of sparklers to wear at dinner, a fabulous frock for dancing around the Christmas Tree in, or a really gorgeous coat for those post-lunch winter walks.

I shot these photos in Vancouver last week. I'm in Hawaii now, it feels interesting been in a tropical island during Christmas Season. I'm used to a white Christmas But I'm having an amazing time with family here. I hope all of you have a wonderful Holiday Season!

Holiday Colors - Red And Winter White

Aloha everyone! Happy Holidays from Hawaii! This year I'm spending the Christmas in Honolulu, Hawaii. These photos were taken back in Vancouver last week. In today's post I'm playing with a colorful holiday look.  Using red as an anchor, I paired this white jacket with embroidered snowflakes design (I also wore this jacket Here).

Holiday Colors - Black And Gold

Black and gold was a big trend in fall and it looks like it’s continuing in the winter as well. To me black and gold is just the perfect holiday match. Black is classic, sophisticated and flattering. Gold is fun, festive and fancy. Together you’re joining expressing your holiday spirit without wearing the oh-so-obvious red or green.

For more casual holiday parties, a sweaterdress-and-tights combo does the trick. The look works with anything—your highest heels, most boyish flats, or booties. Play up the tactile factor and team your sweater dress with contrasting textures. A woolly sweater dress would look great paired with a sleek leather jacket (or a Bouclé Vest, like me). Alternatively, patent and high-shine metallic accessories would also work well to complement a sweater dress. When looking at how to wear a sweater dress, make sure that it suits your body shape. Invest in shapewear if necessary. A sweater dress is a chic option for the winter months. How To Wear A Sweater Dress

How To Wear Sweater Dress is something that may take a bit of time to get the hang of. A sweater dress is perfect for wearing during the winter months, but styling it can prove to be difficult. Sweater dresses have a casual appearance, but if you know how to wear sweater dress, you can easily style it up.

A fitted sweater dress is well suited for dressier occasion. When choosing a fitted sweater dress, opt for one made from a finer knit fabric. As they will be quite body-hugging, it might be wise to wear some contouring shapewear underneath.

For an edgier take on sweater dressing, team them with a pair of boots. Ankle boots are all the rage this season, so a color-coordinated leather pair with a thick heel is a stylish option. Alternatively, sweater dresses also look great paired with knee high boots.

An artfully layered look is just one way of how to wear a sweater dress. Layer a sweater dress underneath a structured coat or jacket, with thick tights, or a cosy scarf. The looser the sweater dress, the more structured your coat should be. To add extra detail, try popping a collared shirt on underneath your sweater dress.

Glam up the humble sweater dress with a range of opulent accessories. A chic long statement necklace, drop earrings, or high-shine cuffs are all great ways of styling a sweater dress. When looking at how to wear a sweater dress, accessories are a great way of updating your look.

Playsuits And Fur Boots

The sheep skin boots have been in stores for years now, and have remained in style and in trend over that time. These boots seem to be us girls go-to everyday comfy fall shoe, but (as we can all agree) the look of these boots (such as UGGs) and how we wear them can go from good to bad VERY QUICKLY. With the leaves changing and the cold weather fast approaching, here are some dos, don’ts, and tips to keep in mind as the weather gets colder.

  • You can wear leggings and a babydoll dress. A babydoll dress can create curves for rectangle-shaped figures or hide those few extra curves. If you are afraid of cold, you can even cheat to wear them with super sheer nude hose or nude-colored fishnets (Just like what I did here).
  • For a high-school look, wear a short skirt with colorful, knee high socks over tights. A nice, simple blouse to go with it and you are ready!
  • The easiest way to wear your sheep skin boots is with your comfortable skinny jeans and a baggy blouse accessorized by a necklace. This way, you will be comfortable, warm and stylish, killing three birds with one stone!
  • Wear baggy pants and tuck them in your sheep skin boots. Accompany this look with a with a tight blouse and cardigan. This is another easy and comfortable way to go about your day in both comfort and style.
  • These sheep skin boots are casual shoes and should be worn with casual, not formal, attire. If you are going to a wedding or out on a date, leave the Uggs behind and opt for something dressier such as pumps or high-heeled boots.
  • Winter, fall, and even spring are good times to wear your sheep skin boots. Wearing them in hot summer weather will most certainly be uncomfortable and you might look out of place. Just because something is a fashion trend does not mean that it can be worn at any time or in any way. It is with careful planning that your style becomes winning!
