Wearing Scarf as A Belt This Fall

A long, flowing scarf adds a soft feminine touch to any outfit, but for a different look a lengthy scarf makes a stylish, handy belt. For the best effect, the scarf needs to be long enough to wrap around your waist twice and leave 3 inches on each end of the tie. If you wear a scarf-belt too snugly, it can make even a small-waisted person look uncomfortable. This cloth accessory looks smart when worn with a dress, tunic shirt or a pair of jeans.

How To Layer This Fall - 2015 Edition

The temperatures will drop before you know it, which means it's time to step up your layering game.  I wrote How To Layer Your Clothes In Fall last year, and this Fall I have better idea.  I'm calling it now, this is the layering look every street style star is going to try over the next month: An lace midi skirt over a knee-length shirtdress, you can also try an above-the-knee wrap skirt over a knee-length shirtdress.  What do you think?

Denim Overalls and Suede Shirt

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Overall season is here!  I love wearing them especially they make me look so much taller!  Be careful when you style overalls though, you don't want to look like a farmer and a factory worker.  Click here and see How To Style Overalls.

This Fall's Updated Trench Coat

Hello everyone!  Hope everyone is having a great week so far!  We just had our Canadian Thanksgiving the past weekend, that means fall is officially here (hel-lo cold weather!).  It’s time to dust off those jackets, bust out your favorite tights and stock up on ultra-cute accessories. The season of long cozy coats has arrived.  Now, with cold weather on its way, it’s time for a cozier option. While a classic trench will always be a wardrobe must for fall weather, this season we’re seeing brands swap the traditional fabric for a luxe suede (and faux-suede) material.  And don’t forget your mantra for getting dressed this season: Layer, layer, layer!  Click here for more Fall coat outfits.

How To Wear A Pop of Color

According to Coco Chanel, “The best color in the world is the one that looks good on you.”  But how are you supposed to know which colors look best if you’re always wearing black? There's no easier way to draw outside the neutral lines than with a statement bag you can wear every day. A bold colored handbag adds another dimension of interest to your simple outfits. Add a bold lip if you're feeing crazy. Pair an outfit with the same color shoes and you'll dull the effect of the whole look. Instead, complete your outfit with bright-colored kicks that contrast—it will help emphasize the printed piece.
