Match and Mix :: Style Your Old Clothes

Whether it is for financial or creative reasons, looking for new ways to wear old clothes is something that always comes to my mind. As much as we all wish we could wear new outfits for the rest of our lives like the fashionable characters of our fave films and TV shows, we don’t live in a fashion fairytale. Your budget may be stretched to the limit, but you still want to be fashionable. Buying brand new duds every week isn't within your means, but you can work with what you already have by expanding your creativity.

If every old piece won't update well, so take stock of what's currently in your wardrobe. You bought into several fads that hit the runway in recent years and now your closet is full of outdated trends. What to do until these old looks become popular again? In today post, I'm wearing almost all my old pieces (except the scarf). When you style your old clothes right, all you need is just one or two updated items and you will look in trend and fashionable again! Here are a few tips when you are trying to match and mix your old and new pieces.
  • Strive for a strategic mix of dressy and casual.
  • Tailor your clothes if they are no longer fit you.
  • Make sure to clean and polish your shoes.
  • Wear a scarf or a collar.
  • Keep your accessories simple.
  • Invest in a steamer or iron, iron your clothes.
