The Spring Cape

I have wrote a post about How To Style A Cape Coat before and I loved that cape last Winter. So I got the same cape in camel for Spring. There's a lot to love about the cape, and it's making a play for your wardrobe this season. If you opt for a cropped cape - or capelet as it's known (defined as a miniature style that swings above the hip), then wear with short-length skirts. If your cape has plenty of fabric and folds,  then counterbalance the voluminosity with a pencil skirt. If your choice is more narrow and tailored, then a mini makes the perfect partner. Whichever skirt silhouette you swing for, wear your cape with cosy tights and knee-high boots.

How To Wear Maxi Skirts This Spring

Maxi skirts are a wardrobe staple for most of us during the spring and summer, but they can also be worn during the fall and winter as well. That’s what’s so great about them – they’re versatile, easy to style with anything, and incredibly comfy. Most importantly, they make you look taller. While the maxi can easily enter into frumpy territory if not worn correctly, when styled the right way, it's actually quite chic. Think: ultra-feminine on the bottom, sleek and refined on the top. Pair a flowing skirt with a crisp button-down top, a crop top, or even a form-fitting body suit for maximum effect.

Pink Shirt Day

Today is the Anti-Bullying Day(Pink Shirt Day). On February 25, 2015 in Canada people (especially students) to be encouraged to wear something pink to show that we are all working together to prevent bullying in our schools, in our communities and online. The original event was organized by David Shepherd and Travis Price of Berwick, Nova Scotia, who in 2007 bought and distributed 50 pink shirts after male ninth grade student Charles McNeill was bullied for wearing a pink shirt during the first day of school. Bullying is a major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, and over the Internet. I'm a mother of two girls, so I'm wearing a pink shirt to support standing up against bullying.

Final Winter Stretch :: Fur Coat And Ethnic Dress

You would think being bundled up in the so-called "usual suspects" for the past few months would take away from my creativity, but I've found that my favorite pieces are actually the perfect canvas to build upon as winter persists. Layering, and more layers. The general rapture that I once reserved for winter's first snowfall has quickly morphed into complete resentment (Although I haven't really seen snow in Vancouver this year). This seemingly unending cold has sapped me dry of inspiration. And, with a few tucks, alternatives, and subs here and there, you, too, can reimagine your winter uniform into something you may actually miss come warmer temps. I live in Vancouver, it's February and the cherry blossoms are blooming here! So I would imagine this will be the outfit for Winter weather's final, final stretch in warmth and style — yes, even on the cusp of spring's official start.

Think Pink

When the sky looks as comforting as days-old sidewalk slush, it can be hard to muster the enthusiasm to wear anything other than shades of black, gray, and brown. Do your part to break that cycle — by sporting a pink coat. Because not only do you probably wear the same coat every single day, but pink is a surprisingly easy color to match. This spring, pink coats are the new neutral outerwear.

The Black And White Moment

Happy Friday everyone! I'm still recovering from my bad flu but feeling much better! These photos were taken before I got sick, it's one of my favorite black and white outfits! I love this coat, it's so easy to pair with any outfit and perfect for early spring! I got it when it's on super sale for $45!! Shoes I got from Zara when they are doing the semi-annul sale, they were $20! So comfort too! To be honest, I hardly pay regular price for clothes. I'm always on the hunt for ways to make an outfit look more chic, elegant, and yes, expensive-looking, but nothing’s better than being able to achieve all three qualities without having to overspend. Right? I love on sale season!

Camel And Yellow

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been sick recently, didn't have chance to post anything for awhile.  The weather keeps changing up and down, a lot of people get sick. I can't wait for the Spring to come!  These photos were from 2 weeks ago when it was sunny out. Although it's not really spring yet I added a touch of yellow so this can be a early Spring outfit.

The Spring Fever

Do you feel the spring yet? When it's sunny out, I can really feel that the Spring is coming! I can already see there are buds on the cherry blossom trees in my backyard. I can't wait! As you clear out the old and make way for the new this spring, think about pairing down, and focusing only on the essentials: the fashion, accessories, and beauty items that simplify your routines. For today's look, I paired a multi color dress with ankle boots and a moto jacket for a springy outfit that doesn't sacrifice warmth. Slip into semi-sheer tights if needed, but steer away from opaque varieties that will add unwanted heaviness to the look.
