Black and gold was a big trend in fall and it looks like it’s continuing in the winter as well. To me black and gold is just the perfect holiday match. Black is classic, sophisticated and flattering. Gold is fun, festive and fancy. Together you’re joining expressing your holiday spirit without wearing the oh-so-obvious red or green.
For more casual holiday parties, a sweaterdress-and-tights combo does the trick. The look works with anything—your highest heels, most boyish flats, or booties. Play up the tactile factor and team your sweater dress with contrasting textures. A woolly sweater dress would look great paired with a sleek leather jacket (or a Bouclé Vest, like me).
